The death of form (or Form follows finance)

John Kricfalusi has a pretty good write-up about the death of form and relates it specifically to children’s toys.  He compares toys from the 1960s to some contemporary examples. This direct comparison lets him draw conclusions about the nature and development of the forms and the intent to which they have been subject from conception through implementation.  He could have elaborated quite a bit more on this topic and  delved a bit deeper into this very real issue but surely now someone else will pick up that slack. Long story short; the people involved in toy contemporary toy production seem to either hate children or are retarded.
