Lets forget the fact that fruit doesn’t need it’s own packaging for a minute. In 1999 a seven year old boy took the plastic netting off of an Asian pear and stuck it on his foot. One can imagine the mental exclamation of ‘eureka’ as the kid’s parent – a Nike Innovation Leader took notice. In 2003, Nike Innovation Designer Pam Greene took that idea and ran with it to produce the Air Rejuven8 from, ironically enough, the ‘Nike Innovation Kitchen’. No kidding.
