We’ve gone through another awkward growth stage at Ohmpage.ca recently. We’ve got a new look to the site and much of it has been rebuilt. A lot of what we’ve done will allow us to bring you more of the content you enjoy. We also have more voices being added to the site. In the near future we will introduce more authors to you who will expand the scope of our coverage and provide more breadth in our content overall. We’re excited and hope you are too. For now, enjoy the new look of the site and expect us to return to our regularly scheduled stream of content now. We’ve got quite the backlog of posts piled up here at headquarters.
Hello dear reader. We have had some problems with our automated post scheduler as well as with our servers themselves. As a result many posts through December and January did not get published to the site and we had some downtime during January where the site was inaccessible. These issues have now been resolved and we bring you back to your regularly scheduled stream of posts. There may be a mild flood of posts to flush out our backlog of content though we’ll try to ration the backlog and pace the publishing out over the next weeks.
Ohmpage is continuing it’s hiatus through the summer. Regular posting is expected to resume in September as we have a large backlog of delicious content yet to serve you.
EDIT: Okay we’re back in action. We’ll be doling out new posts from our backlog at around one per day rather than a large initial dump followed by a slow posting schedule. New posts ahoy! Thanks for your patience dear reader.
Ohmpage is in need of some PHP help. Send over an email if interested in lending a hand.
Alright, the server software has been addressed to be much more resistant to those pesky spam and hack attacks. As you can see, the site needs a fresh makeover now amongst some other things but we’re essentially back in business. We won’t be posting new content yet though. First We’ll get the rest of the site back up and running again. Things will likely be different than before and likely more streamlined to reflect the fact that people mostly just use the web interface of ohmpage for reference and archival exploration. We’re now in re-construction mode.
