Brittny Badger completed her Thesis project from the Hartford Art School this May and it’s pretty nice. With a BFA in photography and a minor in visual communication design, this comes together nicely. She has taken some household appliances and disassembled them. When people draw maps by hand the results can often be both charming and telling. There is always an element of character to the maps as they have a personal bias beyond just objective visualization. They’re off to a somewhat slow start and seem to have a contemporary focus rather than historical but the Hand Drawn Map Association is archiving some examples. David Wiggins Has built this monster DeWalt-16 which is some type of unholy lovechild between a DeWalt nail-gun and an M-16 Rifle. If he could make it shoot nails, we could drywall like a pro. As it is, it shoots bullets. the Magazine is even edited to mimic a DeWalt battery pack. Nice work...
