We’ve danced to this song twice already. What could be so new, taking a third stab at Resistance, you might ask. The first one was pretty great while the second had a mixed reception by critics. Driver San Francisco is an interesting game. Its at once nostalgic and novel. It comes from a franchise of Driver games but it really shakes things up enough that it may as well be an original title. What could have been a banal driving mission game has really done something new and interesting to make it worth your attention.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel from Techland and published by Ubisoft departs from the series’ western themes to transplant the player into a more contemporary setting of present day Mexico and Los Angeles, USA in this cinematic shoot-’em-up game. Its a bold move for the series and really changes the tone.

Its been a while since I heard from Roxio but in the past I’ve quite enjoyed their products. They used to be quick out of the starting gates with new and innovative products. I had one of their mp3 players before the now ubiquitous iPod was even available. So when I heard about their upcoming Game Capture product I was understandably intrigued.
This little toy is most comparable to an external TV tuner....

The more seasons change…
For the past 15 years, Nintendo’s Pocket Monsters have been capturing the imagination of youngsters (and for my sins, oldsters as well), selling hundreds of millions* of copies of the games, and delighting toy store owners with myriad side-products to sell, not the least of which being the trading cards which are still very collectible.
