If you love designer toys but those high prices for vinyl figures are prohibitive then this just may be what you need. The idea is to create fun and cheap designer toys with a D.I.Y. price tag aesthetic. It’s a collaborative project so get your submissions in soon. The title ‘Latex for Fun’ is only mildly misleading. Some industrial designers at Zhejiang University want you to see their tectonically based variant on Rubik’s Cube. They say it is for blind men but we take issue with that. The puzzle toy is great for those with and without vision (not to mention those who may not be men) as it incorporates multiple sensory stimuli and may even be easier to solve as a result.

Charlotte Friis Design Studio presents their Childrens Paper Chair. It is offered as a commentary on sustainable practices – arguably making the child more conscious of their paper consumption though that point is void in the questionable carpet version.

Kellogs is going to be offering a kind of marketing mashup with their new Lego Eggo waffles. They have not made any announcements or press releases regading them yet. We just wonder what makes them ‘homestyle’ Lego shaped waffles as described by the packaging.
